The team at Positive Solutions International, or PSI, is available to help you strengthen your connections by facilitating Positive Discipline workshops in your schools, churches, or community organizations, and also by providing one on one, Solution-Focused coaching to help you reach your personal and professional goals. Members of our team are Certified Positive Discipline Trainers, which means they can offer Positive Discipline certification workshops for both classroom educators and parent educators, as well as Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educators who can offer the full Positive Discipline parenting class.
Our coaches are either trained and certified school counselors, or ICF accredited life coaches who have been trained in the Solution-Focused approach.
About the Founder
My name is Cristina, and from the time I was a child, I have always valued connection and community. I can remember a classmate of mine coming up to me at the end of my 16th birthday party to tell me how much fun he had meeting new people. Bringing people together is something that has always come naturally to me.
I am originally from NYC and have been living abroad for over the past five years. I spent the first three years working as the Secondary School Pastoral Counselor at Bonn International School in Bonn, Germany. It was there that I was first introduced to both Positive Discipline and Solution-Focused counseling. I have been living in Tokyo, Japan for the past two years and have just begun my third year as the Middle School and High School Counselor at Seisen International School.
I hold a Masters Degree and New York State certification both as a School Building Leader from Fordham University and as a School Counselor from St. John’s University. I worked as the Director of Campus Ministry for St. John’s Prep in Astoria, Queens for 10 years before moving abroad. In my spare time, I enjoy practicing yoga, playing tennis, and traveling. My summers and holidays are spent back in NY/NJ where I am able to reconnect with friends and family, and spend time with my three most favorite people in the world- my niece and two nephews.
